Corporate Mindfulness Training

Mindfulness is the condition of the mind becoming clearer and more effective as one pays purposeful attention—nonjudgementally—in the present moment. It is a general receptivity and full engagement with the present moment. It is an open and receptive awareness of what is occurring in the here and now. As simple as that sounds, not many people are able to achieve this. It takes practise, patience, training, and is best achieved with professional teaching and group support.
Organizational life, at its best, is complex, chaotically noisy, and constantly busy. Companies today use mindfulness training to boost employee morale, find innovative solutions, and increase work potential, as well as to reduce employee health stresses, health risks, and absenteeism.
Corporations such as Walt Disney, General Mills, and Google have adopted mindfulness and meditation in their workplaces. They have noticed a dramatic increase in creativity and innovations after employees meditated on new and creative solutions. Google has gone as far as building a labyrinth for walking meditation and mindfulness.

As an interest, here is a photo of the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama in the labyrinth. President Obama joined in yoga therapy session, while visiting service members receiving therapy at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
